Get plugged in!
You're
in business for yourself but not by yourself. It's imperative to your business that you and your team members get plugged in to the bigger team and community. In the Network Marketing business model, the component of community is very important. It's a team sport, you're building along side a team of positive, like-minded individuals, a network of people connected through like mission and drive.
To stay lit up, you must stay plugged in!
This goes for you and for your team members.
Get them connected to the movement, to the bigger team, company and vision. Once you get someone started, immediately get them plugged in. Whether they are planning on building part time or full time, after getting your team member enrolled, get them plugged in. Here are a few ideas:
Invite them to join the next team or company conference call. Text them the call in number and pin and let them know when the call will be, also tell them that you'll send them a reminder text 5 minutes before. Then 5 minutes before, send them a reminder message. You will not be doing this forever, it's just to get them up and running. Eventually, you'll have them program the calls into their phone and they'll get the alert to jump on.
Introduce them to your sponsor or the upline business partner that you connect with. It's great when you can introduce a new team member to someone in their upline sponsorship team. Getting them plugged in to a real person will go a long way for the new distributor. This will show them from the get-go that they have a larger network of people who they can also reach out to. This can easily be done over the phone through the conference call function. You tell your new team member to hold on the line while you conference in your
up-team and make the intro. Then you let the up-team welcome them, answer any questions and get them going!
Get them connected to any team or company FB groups. Facebook is as common as email and if you're not on FB you should really consider signing up for an account. If you are on FB, then you know how amazing it is of a platform to connect with and support your team members, in a team building setting. Get your brand new team member in any FB groups set up for the distributors in your company.
Show them how to understand their back office. This is IMPORTANT. We are in business for profit and the back office is the gauge to show us how we are doing in that department. Getting them plugged into the back office from the get-go will help them get familiar with the points system and you can take this opportunity to share with them the rank system as well. Show them the next 2 ranks from where they are and go over how many points and any structural requirements they need to meet to get there. You'll quickly notice if they are a numbers person or not. If they are not, leave it at that and eventually after multiple exposures they'll learn. If they are, believe me they will be in that back office and they'll get it! The main thing is that you show them how to log in, how to basically read the back office and how to hit their next 2 ranks.
Create a One-sheeter
It's a good idea for you to have one resource where you list all the different calls, groups and resources for your new member. Even if the info is easily accessed in the back office or anywhere else, it's still good to have it all on one info graph that you can text, FB message or email to them. It'll take some time for your new member to get very familiar with all the resources but it is imperative for them to get plugged-in, so having a one-sheeter with all the info on the different calls and groups and anything else the company or team has in place as resource to support the members, is a great idea.
